Indications
Ciprofloxacin 250 mg is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections. It is effective in the treatment of urinary tract infections, respiratory infections, gastrointestinal infections, as well as skin and soft tissue infections. This medication acts against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, helping to fight infections caused by susceptible organisms. It is important that the use of Ciprofloxacin be based on the results of cultures and sensitivity tests, as well as on the doctor's clinical evaluation.
Composition
Each Ciprofloxacin 250 mg tablet contains:
- Ciprofloxacin: 250 mg
- Excipients: Lactose, starch, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin, other fluoroquinolone antibiotics, or any of the components of the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of tendinitis or tendon rupture associated with fluoroquinolone use.
Precautions
Caution is necessary in patients with renal insufficiency, epilepsy or a history of seizures, as well as in those with tendon problems. Its use in combination with certain medications that may increase the risk of adverse effects should be avoided. Medical follow-up is recommended during treatment.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30°C, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
