Indications
Cinitapride is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders, including dyspepsia and irritable bowel syndrome. It is used in patients presenting with symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal bloating, and gastric discomfort. Additionally, it is recommended for cases of gastroparesis and other gastrointestinal motility disorders. Cinitapride acts as a prokinetic agent, improving gastrointestinal tract motility and facilitating gastric emptying. It is also used in the management of symptoms associated with functional dyspepsia and in the treatment of esophageal motility disorders.
Composition
Each tablet contains 1 mg of Cinitapride as the active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for the product's formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cinitapride or any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with mechanical intestinal obstruction or in those with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding. Likewise, caution should be exercised in patients with a history of epilepsy or convulsive disorders.
Precautions
It is recommended to use this medication under strict medical supervision in patients with cardiovascular diseases, as it may cause adverse effects in these types of patients. It is important to evaluate liver and kidney function before starting treatment, as well as to monitor for any side effects that may occur. Its use is not recommended in children under 12 years of age without appropriate medical indication.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
