Indications

This medication is indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammation in various conditions, such as:

  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Ankylosing spondylitis
  • Acute pain
  • Primary dysmenorrhea

Celecoxib acts by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzyme, which reduces the production of prostaglandins responsible for causing inflammation and pain. Its anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect can provide relief to patients suffering from these conditions.

Composition

Each capsule contains:

  • Celecoxib: 200 mg
  • Excipients: (detail excipients if possible)

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in the following cases:

  • Known allergy to celecoxib or any component of the formula.
  • Patients with a history of allergic reaction to other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
  • Severe heart failure, uncontrolled hypertension, or significant coronary artery disease.
  • Active peptic ulcer or inflammatory bowel disease.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in the following cases:

  • Patients with a history of heart or cerebrovascular disease.
  • Patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency.
  • Elderly patients, who may be more susceptible to adverse effects.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
