Indications
Charyn is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections, otitis media, skin and soft tissue infections, as well as sexually transmitted infections. This medication works by inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria, which helps stop their growth and reproduction. It is effective against pathogens such as Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Chlamydia pneumoniae, Streptococcus pneumoniae, among others. The use of Charyn is recommended in cases of pneumonia, pharyngitis, sinusitis, and other bacterial infections where antibiotic therapy is appropriate.
Composition
Each Charyn tablet contains 500 mg of Azithromycin as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that facilitate its presentation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Azithromycin, other macrolide antibiotics, or any component of the formula. Furthermore, it should not be administered to patients with a history of pseudomembranous colitis associated with antibiotic use.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with liver or kidney disorders, as well as in those taking other medications that may interact with Azithromycin. Medical monitoring is recommended during treatment, especially in vulnerable populations such as the elderly or people with chronic diseases.
Storage
Charyn should be stored in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of the reach of children. The storage temperature should not exceed 30°C.
