Indications

Cetirizine 10 mg is indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, including sneezing, rhinorrhea (nasal discharge), itchy nose or throat, and itchy eyes. It is also used for the treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria, providing relief from itching and skin rash. This medication works by blocking histamine H1 receptors, which reduces the body's allergic response.

Composition

Each tablet contains: Cetirizine dihydrochloride 10 mg. Excipients: Lactose, corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cetirizine, any component of the formula, or other antihistamines. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe renal insufficiency.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizures or epilepsy, as well as in those operating machinery or vehicles, due to the possibility of drowsiness. Dose adjustment is recommended in patients with moderate renal insufficiency. Not recommended for use in children under 6 years of age without proper medical supervision.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place and away from sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
