Indications

Carbamazepine is indicated for the treatment of various medical conditions, such as:

  • Epilepsy: used for the management of partial and tonic-clonic seizures, helping to prevent the onset of convulsions in epileptic patients.
  • Trigeminal neuralgia: effective in the treatment of neuropathic pain associated with trigeminal neuralgia.
  • Bipolar disorder: as a mood stabilizer in patients with bipolar affective disorder.

Composition

Each Carbamazepine 200 mg tablet contains:

  • Carbamazepine: 200 mg
  • Excipients: q.s.

Contraindications

Carbamazepine is contraindicated in patients with:

  • Known hypersensitivity to carbamazepine or any of its excipients.
  • Second or third-degree atrioventricular block, unless a pacemaker is used.
  • History of severe skin reactions associated with carbamazepine or related drugs.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in the following cases:

  • Patients with a history of liver or kidney disease.
  • Patients with a family history of severe skin reactions or Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
  • During pregnancy and lactation, it should be administered only if strictly necessary.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Protect from light and keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
