Indications
Carbafen is indicated for the treatment of muscle pain and tension associated with conditions such as low back pain, sprains, muscle injuries, and other similar ailments. Its combination of methocarbamol, a muscle relaxant, and paracetamol, an analgesic and antipyretic, provides effective pain relief and helps improve mobility in patients with muscle spasms. In addition, it can be used as part of a therapeutic regimen for conditions requiring pain and inflammation reduction.
Composition
Each Carbafen tablet contains: 400 mg of Methocarbamol and 350 mg of Paracetamol.
Contraindications
Carbafen is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its components. It should also be avoided in patients with severe hepatic insufficiency, and in those with severe kidney diseases or a history of alcohol abuse. Its use is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation, unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver or kidney diseases, as well as in those who consume other medications that may affect liver function. It is important not to exceed the recommended dose, as paracetamol in high doses can cause liver toxicity. Liver function monitoring is recommended for prolonged treatments, and a doctor should be consulted if unusual symptoms appear.
