Indications
Capin BH is indicated for the treatment of various conditions related to the central nervous system. It is used in the management of gastrointestinal disorders presenting with spasms, as well as in the treatment of nausea and vomiting, particularly in situations associated with balance disorders. Additionally, it has been used in the therapy of certain types of acute abdominal pain and in the prevention of adverse reactions to general anesthesia. Its anticholinergic effect allows for the relaxation of smooth muscles, facilitating the relief of the aforementioned symptoms.
Composition
Each ampoule contains 20 mg of hyoscine as the active ingredient. Additionally, excipients that contribute to the stability and efficacy of the medication are included.
Contraindications
Capin BH is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to hyoscine or any of its excipients. Its use is not recommended in patients with closed-angle glaucoma, myasthenia gravis, prostatic hypertrophy, or those with gastrointestinal obstruction. Its use should be carefully evaluated in patients with a history of heart or respiratory diseases.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Capin BH to patients over 65 years of age, as well as those with cardiovascular diseases, as it may cause undesirable effects on the central nervous system. Furthermore, it is advisable to monitor patients with a history of urinary retention, as it could worsen this condition. Use in pregnant and breastfeeding women should be evaluated by a physician, considering the potential effects on the fetus or infant.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the packaging.
