Indications
Capin is indicated for the treatment of various gastrointestinal disorders involving spasms and abdominal pain. It is useful in conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome, biliary and renal colic, as well as in situations of pain associated with menstruation. In addition, its antispasmodic action allows its use in diagnostic and surgical procedures where a reduction in gastrointestinal tract motor activity is required.
Composition
Each Capin ampoule contains 20 mg of hyoscine as the active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for its formulation.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to hyoscine or any of the components of the formulation. It should not be administered in cases of glaucoma, myasthenia gravis, gastrointestinal or urinary obstruction, and in patients with severe heart disease. Its use in pregnant or breastfeeding women should also be avoided, unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with respiratory problems, cardiovascular diseases, or those who are being treated with other medications that may interact with hyoscine. It is essential to review the medical history and concomitant medications before starting treatment. Additionally, the risk of anticholinergic effects in the elderly or in individuals with chronic diseases should be considered.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
