Indications

Budesonide is used in the treatment of various respiratory conditions, including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This medication is indicated for the control and prevention of symptoms in patients with persistent asthma, as well as for the management of acute exacerbations. It can also be used in patients with COPD to reduce the frequency of exacerbations and improve lung function. Budesonide acts as an inhaled corticosteroid that reduces inflammation in the airways, facilitating breathing and improving the patient's quality of life.

Composition

Each ampoule contains Budesonide 0.25 mg in a solution for nebulization.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Budesonide or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in uncontrolled respiratory infections, as well as in patients with active pulmonary tuberculosis.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of lung infections, as prolonged use of corticosteroids may increase the risk of infections. Additionally, the benefits and risks should be carefully evaluated in patients with cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, or diabetes. Regular medical monitoring is important during treatment with Budesonide, especially in patients requiring higher doses.

Storage

Store the medication in its original container, at room temperature (between 20 and 25 °C) and protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
