Indications
Pinaverium Bromide is indicated for the treatment of functional gastrointestinal disorders, such as irritable bowel syndrome and abdominal cramps. Its antispasmodic action helps relieve spasms of the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract, which can result in a reduction of symptoms such as abdominal pain and discomfort. It is also used in the management of dyspepsia and other disorders involving intestinal hypermotility. It is important that the use of this medication be supervised by a healthcare professional to ensure its suitability and effectiveness in each particular case.
Composition
Each tablet contains: 100 mg of Pinaverium Bromide. Excipients: lactose, starch, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Pinaverium Bromide or any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in cases of intestinal obstruction, ulcerative colitis, or inflammatory bowel diseases. Likewise, its use is not recommended in patients with myasthenia gravis.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Pinaverium Bromide in patients with a history of heart disease, as it may cause cardiovascular adverse effects. Likewise, patients with kidney or liver failure are advised to consult their doctor before starting treatment. Prolonged use of this medication may require medical follow-up to evaluate effectiveness and the appearance of adverse effects.
