Indications

Bomath 0.3 mg is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension. Clonidine, its active ingredient, acts as a selective alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonist in the central nervous system, resulting in a decrease in heart rate and a drop in blood pressure. In addition, it can be used in the management of withdrawal symptoms in opioid-dependent patients, as well as in attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in combination with other treatments. It is important that the use of this medication is carried out under appropriate medical supervision and that the specific instructions of the health professional are followed.

Composition

Each Bomath tablet contains 0.3 mg of clonidine as the active ingredient. Excipients: lactose, starch, magnesium stearate and others.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to clonidine or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be administered to individuals with a history of severe depression, heart block, or significant bradycardia. Likewise, its use in patients with severe renal insufficiency should be carefully evaluated by a physician.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, depression, or those who are receiving concomitant treatment with other antihypertensives. The use of Bomath can cause sedation and drowsiness, so operating heavy machinery or driving vehicles should be avoided until the response to treatment is known. Abrupt discontinuation of treatment can lead to a sudden increase in blood pressure; therefore, withdrawal should be gradual.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
