Indications
Bomath 0.2 mg is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension. Its use is recommended in patients whose blood pressure has not been adequately controlled with other antihypertensive medications. Additionally, it is used in the management of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children and adolescents, as well as for the treatment of certain types of neuropathic pain. It is important that Bomath is used under the supervision of a physician, who will evaluate the suitability of the treatment according to the specific conditions of each patient.
Composition
Each Bomath tablet contains 0.2 mg of clonidine as the active ingredient. The excipients are: corn starch, lactose, magnesium stearate, and talc.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to clonidine or any component of the formula. Likewise, its use should be avoided in patients with a history of severe depression, bradycardia, second or third-degree heart block, and in those receiving monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). Its use is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation unless strictly necessary and under the supervision of a physician.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Bomath to patients with cardiovascular diseases, renal or hepatic insufficiency. Abrupt discontinuation of treatment can cause a sudden increase in blood pressure; therefore, it is recommended to gradually reduce the dose under medical supervision. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and heart rate is important during treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and at room temperature (between 15 and 30 °C). Keep out of reach of children.
