Indications

Bomath 0.1 mg is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension, as well as for the management of certain types of neuropathic pain. This medication acts as an alpha-2 adrenergic receptor agonist, which leads to a decrease in norepinephrine release and, consequently, a reduction in blood pressure. Clonidine may also be used in the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, as well as in the management of withdrawal symptoms in opioid-dependent patients. Its use must be supervised by a healthcare professional, who will determine the dosage and duration of treatment according to the patient's needs.

Composition

Each Bomath tablet contains 0.1 mg of Clonidine as an active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to clonidine or to any component of the formula. It should not be administered to individuals with a history of severe depression, bradycardia, or those who have experienced serious adverse reactions to this type of medication. Likewise, its use is not recommended in patients with uncontrolled congestive heart failure or second- or third-degree heart block.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with liver or kidney diseases. It is important to monitor blood pressure and heart rate during treatment, as well as to assess the possibility of adverse reactions in special populations, such as the elderly or patients with concurrent medical conditions. Abrupt discontinuation of treatment can lead to a rebound increase in blood pressure, so it is recommended to gradually reduce the dose under medical supervision.
