Indications
Bixen is indicated for the treatment of various conditions involving pain and inflammation. This medication is used in the management of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, as well as in the treatment of acute pain, such as menstrual pain, dental pain, and postoperative pain. It is also used to reduce fever and relieve symptoms in inflammatory conditions. Bixen works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are responsible for inflammation and pain, thus providing an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect.
Composition
Each Bixen tablet contains 550 mg of Naproxen Sodium as an active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Bixen is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Naproxen or to any other component of the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcer, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe renal insufficiency, and in those who have experienced serious adverse reactions to other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Its use should be avoided in the third trimester of pregnancy.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, kidney disease, or liver disease. Bixen should be used under medical supervision in patients who consume alcohol, as this may increase the risk of gastrointestinal adverse effects. It is important to adjust the dose in elderly patients and those with pre-existing medical conditions.
