Indications
Biomesina is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal, biliary, and urological spasms. It is effective in reducing muscle tension in the digestive tract and urinary system, helping to relieve pain associated with conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome, renal, and biliary colic. Additionally, it can be used as part of adjunctive treatment in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures that require the relaxation of smooth muscles. Its antispasmodic action allows for better intestinal motility and decreases discomfort in patients with functional disorders of the digestive system.
Composition
Each Biomesina tablet contains: Butylscopolamine 10 mg as the active ingredient, as well as necessary excipients for the formulation.
Contraindications
Biomesina is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to butylscopolamine or any of the formula's components. It should not be administered in cases of closed-angle glaucoma, myasthenia gravis, or in conditions where urinary retention is dangerous.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of heart disease, hypertension, or liver disease. Likewise, its use should be evaluated in elderly patients or those taking other medications that may interact with butylscopolamine. Its use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended unless indicated by a physician.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children. Do not expose to temperatures above 30°C. Check the expiration date before using the medication.
