Indications

Bicalutamide is indicated in the treatment of localized or metastatic prostate carcinoma, as well as in the treatment of gynecomastia. This medication acts as an androgen receptor antagonist, inhibiting the action of male hormones that can promote the growth of cancer cells in the prostate. It is important that the use of this medication is supervised by a healthcare professional.

Composition

Each tablet contains: Bicalutamide 50 mg, excipients q.s.p.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to bicalutamide or any of the excipients in the formula. It should also be avoided in cases of severe liver insufficiency and in women, especially during pregnancy and lactation.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease, as well as in those receiving other hormonal treatments. Regular monitoring of testosterone levels and liver function is recommended during treatment. Its use is not recommended in women, as it can cause significant adverse effects.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
