Indications
Tetralysal is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections, including those caused by microorganisms sensitive to lymecycline. It is effective in respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, as well as in the treatment of moderate to severe nodular acne in patients who have not responded adequately to other treatments. It is also used in the treatment of moderate to severe rosacea. Lymecycline acts by inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria, which results in their death and the resolution of the infection.
Composition
Each Tetralysal capsule contains 150 mg of lymecycline. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, starch, silica, magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to lymecycline or other tetracycline class antibiotics. It should not be used in pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as in children under 8 years of age due to the possibility of affecting bone and tooth development.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease. The possibility of adverse reactions in patients with a history of allergies to other antibiotics should also be considered. Sun protection is suggested due to the photosensitivity that lymecycline can induce.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
