Indications
Sporasec is indicated for the treatment of systemic and superficial fungal infections, as well as bacterial infections. This medication is effective in the treatment of onychomycosis, candidiasis, and various fungal infections. Additionally, it is used in the treatment of certain bacterial disorders that require the use of an antimicrobial agent. Its combination of Itraconazole and Secnidazole provides a dual approach to infection management, increasing its effectiveness in treating resistant pathogens.
Composition
Each Sporasec capsule contains:
- Itraconazole: 33.3 mg
- Secnidazole: 166.6 mg
Contraindications
Sporasec is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in patients with a history of severe adverse reactions to antifungal medications, or in those with severe hepatic insufficiency. Furthermore, its use is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation unless strictly necessary and under the supervision of a physician.
Precautions
It is recommended to monitor liver function during treatment with Sporasec, especially in patients with a history of liver disease. Additionally, caution should be exercised in patients with cardiovascular diseases or those receiving other medications that may interact with Itraconazole or Secnidazole. The use of this medication in combination with other drugs must be carefully evaluated by the treating physician.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature between 15°C and 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
