Indications
Pregnus is indicated for the treatment of urinary tract infections caused by susceptible microorganisms, including uncomplicated infections such as acute cystitis. This medication works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial death. It is important that the use of the medication be determined by a healthcare professional after proper evaluation and, if necessary, cultures be performed to confirm the susceptibility of the pathogens.
Composition
Each capsule contains 500 mg of fosfomycin trometamol as the active ingredient. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, colloidal silicon dioxide and other inert excipients.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to fosfomycin or any of the components of the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe renal insufficiency or those with a history of severe allergic reactions to antibiotics.
Precautions
It is recommended to use Pregnus with caution in patients with a history of kidney disease or in those who are being treated with other medications that affect kidney function. It is important to maintain adequate hydration during treatment to facilitate drug elimination. In case of allergic reaction symptoms, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.
