Indications
Posipen Suspension is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by bacteria sensitive to dicloxacillin. These may include skin and soft tissue infections, as well as respiratory tract and middle ear infections. It is also effective in the management of bone and joint system infections, as well as in cases of bacterial endocarditis. Dicloxacillin is an antibiotic belonging to the penicillin group, which acts on bacteria by interfering with the synthesis of their cell wall, causing their death. It is particularly useful against penicillin-resistant staphylococci and streptococci.
Composition
Each 5 ml of suspension contains: Dicloxacillin: 250 mg. Excipients: purified water, glycerin, flavoring, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to dicloxacillin, to any other antibiotic of the penicillin group, or to any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to antibiotics.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using it in patients with a history of allergies to other antibiotics, as well as in those with renal insufficiency. Liver and kidney function should be evaluated before starting treatment. In case of any adverse reaction, the medication should be discontinued and a doctor consulted. Prolonged use is not recommended, as it may result in superinfection.

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
