Indications
Posipen 12H 1G is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to dicloxacillin. These include skin and soft tissue infections, respiratory tract infections, and certain bone and joint infections. It is also used in the treatment of urinary tract infections and in cases of bacterial endocarditis. It is important to follow the doctor's instructions to ensure the effectiveness of the treatment.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Dicloxacillin (1 g) as an active ingredient, in addition to excipients such as corn starch, talc, and magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to dicloxacillin, other penicillin group antibiotics, or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions, such as anaphylaxis, to penicillins.
Precautions
Precautions should be taken in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, especially colitis. Additionally, cautious use should be considered in patients with renal insufficiency. Liver and kidney function tests are recommended before starting treatment and during its use. In case of adverse reactions, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
