Indications
Minopac (Minocycline) is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections susceptible to the action of minocycline. It is used in the treatment of respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, and in the treatment of acne vulgaris. It may also be effective in the treatment of infections caused by microorganisms resistant to other antibiotics. Minocycline acts by inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria, which helps to combat the infection.
Composition
Each Minopac capsule contains 100 mg of minocycline, as well as excipients necessary for the product's formulation.
Contraindications
Minopac is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to minocycline, to other tetracycline class antibiotics, or to any of the formula's components. It should not be administered to pregnant or breastfeeding women, as it may affect fetal or infant development.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of systemic lupus erythematosus, porphyria, or hepatic dysfunction. Liver function tests are recommended for prolonged treatments. Furthermore, the possibility of severe cutaneous adverse reactions should be considered, so appropriate monitoring is recommended during treatment.
Storage
Minopac should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct light and at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
