Indications
Lievricin-D is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to doxycycline. It is used in the treatment of respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, and other bacterial infections. It is also useful in the treatment of certain skin and soft tissue infections, as well as in the management of chlamydia infections. Additionally, it can be used for the prophylaxis of typhoid fever and in the treatment of moderate to severe acne.
Composition
Each Lievricin-D capsule contains 50 mg of doxycycline, as well as excipients necessary for the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to doxycycline, tetracyclines, or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be administered to children under 8 years of age, during pregnancy or lactation, due to the risk of adverse effects on bone and tooth development.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with liver or kidney diseases, as well as in those with a history of esophageal disorders. Doxycycline can cause photosensitivity, so it is recommended to avoid excessive sun exposure during treatment. Appropriate medical monitoring should be carried out in cases of prolonged treatment.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep in a cool, dry place, protected from direct light and out of the reach of children.
