Indications
Flagenase suspension is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible microorganisms, including: gastrointestinal tract infections, gynecological infections, central nervous system infections, and certain skin and soft tissue infections. It is used in the treatment of amoebiasis, trichomoniasis, giardiasis and in the eradication of Helicobacter pylori in combination with other drugs. It is effective in the treatment of anaerobic infections and in the prophylaxis of surgical infections. The administration of Flagenase must be under adequate medical supervision to ensure its correct use.
Composition
Each 5 ml of Flagenase suspension contains: Metronidazole 250 mg. Excipients: purified water, flavoring, xanthan gum, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to metronidazole or any of its excipients. It should not be administered during the first trimester of pregnancy and in patients with severe liver disease.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of neurological disorders, in those who consume alcohol, and in patients with hematological disorders. It is important to perform medical monitoring in patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency.
Storage
Store at room temperature between 15 and 30°C. Keep in a dry place and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.
