Indications
Evocs III is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms. This medication is primarily used for respiratory tract infections, such as community-acquired pneumonia, acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis, and acute sinusitis. It is also used in the treatment of urinary tract infections, including pyelonephritis and cystitis, as well as skin and soft tissue infections. The efficacy of levofloxacin has been demonstrated against various pathogens, making it a therapeutic option in the management of severe and complicated infections.
Composition
Each Evocs III tablet contains 750 mg of levofloxacin as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients that facilitate the formulation and stability of the product.
Contraindications
Evocs III is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to levofloxacin, other fluoroquinolone antibiotics, or any component of the formula. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of epilepsy or central nervous system disorders, as well as those with severe renal insufficiency.
Precautions
It is recommended to monitor patients with risk factors for developing adverse effects, such as tendinopathy or tendon rupture, especially in patients over 60 years of age or those receiving concomitant corticosteroid treatment. Furthermore, renal function should be carefully evaluated before initiating treatment and the dose adjusted in cases of renal insufficiency.
Storage
Evocs III should be stored at room temperature not exceeding 30°C, in a dry place and away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
