Indications

Evocs III (Levofloxacin) is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections, including:

  • Respiratory tract infections, such as community-acquired pneumonia and acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis.
  • Urinary tract infections, including cystitis and pyelonephritis.
  • Skin and soft tissue infections.
  • Bone and joint infections.

Levofloxacin acts by inhibiting the DNA gyrase enzyme, which interferes with bacterial DNA replication, resulting in the death of susceptible bacteria.

Composition

Each Evocs III tablet contains 500 mg of levofloxacin, as well as excipients such as starch, microcrystalline cellulose, and magnesium stearate.

Contraindications

Evocs III should not be administered in the following cases:

  • Known hypersensitivity to levofloxacin or other fluoroquinolone antibiotics.
  • Patients with a history of tendinitis or tendon rupture associated with fluoroquinolone therapy.
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Precautions

Caution is advised in patients with a history of epilepsy, impaired renal function, and those receiving concomitant treatment with medications that may affect QT interval prolongation. Use in patients over 60 years of age should also be considered.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place and out of reach of children.
