Indications
Eukomikane is indicated for the treatment of invasive fungal infections caused by susceptible fungi, including Aspergillus, Candida, and other pathogens. It is particularly useful in the management of invasive aspergillosis and esophageal candidiasis in immunocompromised patients. It is also used in the treatment of systemic fungal infections in patients with prolonged neutropenia and for the prophylaxis of fungal infections in high-risk individuals. It is important that the use of the medication be supervised by a healthcare professional, considering the severity of the infections and the patient's clinical status.
Composition
Each Eukomikane tablet contains 200 mg of voriconazole as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that facilitate the formulation and absorption of the medication.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to voriconazole or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients who are receiving certain medications that can interact with voriconazole and cause serious adverse effects. Additionally, caution should be exercised in patients with severe liver disease.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease, as well as in those with impaired cardiac function. Liver function should be monitored during treatment, and the dose adjusted if necessary. It is essential that the administration of the medication be under strict medical supervision, especially in cases of polypharmacy.
Storage
Store Eukomikane in its original container at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C, away from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
