This medication works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal\ncell membrane, which leads to the death of the fungus. It is useful in the treatment of superficial skin infections, as well as in cases of athlete's foot,\njock itch, and cutaneous candidiasis. In addition, it can be used as part of a therapeutic approach in mixed infections where fungi are\nthe predominant pathogen.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch2\u003eComposition\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach 100 g of cream contains:\nMiconazole nitrate 2 g.
