This medication is also used in essential hypertension, to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with hypertension and type 2 diabetes, as well as in the prevention of mortality in those patients with myocardial infarction and reduced ejection fraction. Eplerenone acts as an aldosterone antagonist, thereby contributing to the decrease in sodium and water retention, as well as the reduction of left ventricular hypertrophy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch2\u003eComposition\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach Inspra tablet contains 25 mg of Eplerenone as an active ingredient.
