Irbesartan works by blocking the effects of angiotensin II, a compound that causes blood vessel constriction, resulting in a reduction in blood pressure.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch2\u003eComposition\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach Avapro tablet contains 150 mg of irbesartan as the active ingredient.
