It is also used for renal protection in patients with type 2 diabetes and hypertension, as well as for the reduction of cardiovascular events in patients with established cardiovascular disease. Its mechanism of action is based on the antagonism of angiotensin II receptors, which causes blood vessel dilation and, consequently, a decrease in blood pressure. Alderan can be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensives.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch2\u003eComposition\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach tablet contains: Losartan potassium 100 mg as active ingredient.
